Can a guiltless person be guilty?

In totalitarian regimes, many people were arrested and imprisoned without any proper legal process. Being innocent was no defence. How were such arrests carried out? What were the reasons why people were arrested? Why were people unable to defend themselves against arrest; or even to know the reasons why? For this learning activity the pupils will need to have access to computers and headphones.
